At 9:00 am, we board the tourist bus to tour the southern valley, Tipón, Pikillacta and Andahuaylillas, a strange conjunction of pre-Hispanic and Spanish remains, evidence of the cultural duality of the ancient capital of the Inca empire.

Download BrochureArchaeological group where we can appreciate the domain of hydraulic engineering in the time of the Incas in which an exceptional irrigation system can be appreciated with vertical and horizontal irrigation channels on stepped terraces, the water flows from the subsoil to a source from which it is distributed through the channels mentioned. It was an important agricultural production center.
Pre - Inca archaeological center, located 18 km south east of the city of Cusco, characterized by its levels of construction of stone, lime and plaster, strangely baptized at the end of the colony with this Quechua term that means "people of fleas ”. It is said that Pikillaqta once housed the famous Tiahuanaco Culture, it highlights its streets that form quadrants, double-story buildings with stuccoed walls and paved floors. Pikillacta was initially a city of the Wari (6th to 13th centuries AD), an important civilization prior to the Incas.
Leaving Cusco to the south after a 45-minute bus trip, we arrive at the town of Andahuaylillas, a traditional town in whose main square its proud colonial temple with admirable paintings from the Cusqueña school, known as "The Sistine Chapel of America" by the beautiful baroque painting on the ceiling and walls.
