Cusco- Santa María: bicycle (Optional rafting: $ 30 USD) We pick you up from your hotel at 7:15 a.m. Then we will go in a private car to the pass of Puerto Málaga (4,350 meters above sea level), from here we will start the bike ride for 3 hours to Santa María, during the trip we will experience the beauty of the snow-capped mountains towards the high jungle, rapidly changing the climate dry cold to humid hot. Once we arrive in Santa María we will have the option of doing Rafting (extra tour $ 30.00) in the Vilcanota river that crosses this part of the jungle. (Lunch, dinner, lodging)
Santa Maria - Santa Teresa: trekking Early in the morning after a rich breakfast, at 6:00 we will be ready to do the first day of trekking towards the jungle. The first three hours, the road will be uphill, but we will have several stops, one of them will be at a family home where we will relax for about 20 minutes here we can stock up on water and some delicious snacks, later we will cross the great Camino Inca with impressive views of the entire valley where we will walk. And then the road will be very easy crossing the forest where we can find many coca and fruit plantations, we will cross rivers. In the afternoon after having walked for 7-8 hours approx. We will arrive at the thermal baths of Cocalmayo to later arrive at the town of Santa Teresa which is at 1990 m.a.s.l. (breakfast / lunch / dinner)
Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes: trekking (Zip Line Canopy-optional: $ 30 USD) Breakfast, at 7 a.m. (Extra canopy tour) We will start the trek towards Aguas Calientes, first we will walk for 3 hours on an unpaved road and another two hours next to the train track. That night we will spend the night in a hostel with private bathroom and hot water. (Breakfast / lunch / dinner)
In the morning at 4:20 am we will start the ascent to the citadel of Machu Picchu and we will have the opportunity to see the sunrise, then we will have a guided tour for two hours, later you will have time to visit Huayna Picchu and other places of interest. Later it will be the return by train to Ollantaytambo. Bus ollantaytambo-cusco.
